meet the family.

the team

Acts of Dove is a family run business with generations of bird husbandry at it’s core.

We have been awarded the title of best memorial company in scotland, which means the world to us. We put our heart and soul into what we do and recogntion for this is very touching.

If you have released Doves with us before then you will know Karen. She attends all of your releases and always strives to make communication and your experience the best that it can possibly be. She has a real passion for Doves and the memories that they create.

Tom does all of the handiwork behind the scenes. Keeping the equipment in perfect order, whilst ensuring the Doves have a safe and happy home.

James is the bird brain behind Acts of Dove. He has all the knowledge that helps keeps our Doves safe, fit and healthy. He learned from his grandfather and still loves reading books to learn as much as he can.

We also have some “small” employees. Currently, they enjoy all of the good jobs like feeding the Doves and looking after the baby birds. The kids love being around the Doves, which helps as the Doves are used to being around little ones.

Our Doves are at the heart of everything that we do and they are our top priority!

Our Doves live in a loft in our back garden, which is opened each morning, meaning they can come and go as the pease.

They are all expertly trained to return home after each release, usually for some tasty treats (they love peanuts).

Each and every Dove has a ring on its leg with a registration number which is unique to us and means they can always be traced back home.

Our Doves are also fully vaccinated each year to prevent them from picking up any nasty bugs.

We are always more than happy to answer any questions that you may have around the care of our Doves. Please do just send a message with any queries. Be careful though, once you get us talking about the Doves, we find it hard to stop!
